Terms and Conditions of your holiday booking and Information About Your Holiday

Arrival and departure times

Your accommodation is available from 4pm on the day of your arrival once it has been cleaned and prepared for you. We are happy to welcome you at the Park earlier and when your accommodation is ready you may move in. In order for us to prepare for our next guests we do ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10am on your day of departure.

Late arrivals

If you expect to arrive after 8pm on the first day of your stay, please let the Park know so that we can make arrangements for you to collect your keys. Unless the Park is previously notified, you must claim your accommodation by 8 am on the day after your holiday was due to start, otherwise we will treat your booking as cancelled.

Great family holidays

Rockhill Park and its facilities are intended for family holidays. We are therefore sorry that we cannot accept any parties of single people under the age of 18. Other parties of young people are accepted only at the Company's discretion.??

Special requirements

If you have any other special requests regarding your holiday accommodation please advise us when making your booking and confirm your request in writing either by post or email including your telephone number in case of any query. We will endeavor to meet your requests; however this cannot be guaranteed and is not a condition of booking.??

Guests with disabilities?

We are happy to provide as much advice and information as possible to people with disabilities who wish to holiday at our Park. It is important that you talk to our staff before making the booking as, for example, not all accommodation are suitable for guests with disabilities and wheelchair access may be limited. A limited number of our caravans are specially adapted for wheelchair users. Please note that due to their weight and size, other accommodation is not suitable for electric wheelchairs. All requirements must be confirmed in writing or email. Special requests cannot be made a condition of your booking as they are always subject to availability.??

Dogs and other Pets

Animals are not permitted in rental holiday accommodation. These restrictions do not apply to guide dogs.

Cots and highchairs

Travel Cots are available for a charge of €20*. Cot linen is not provided. Please note when making your booking that travel cots will only fit in the living room of the mobile home. Highchairs can be rented for holiday home accommodation for €20 subject to availability.

Children

Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times, as they do at any of our activities or facilities. The club activities form part of our entertainment programme, and are not childcare facilities. We provide supervision during sessions however please note a child may leave a session if they so choose at any time and are not the responsibility of Rockhill Staff.?It is particularly important that you always know where your children are, and that you know the times that the activities start and finish. It is particularly important, that you make sure that your children understand that they should always obey the instructions of the summer team during any of the activities for the benefit of your childs (children’s) health and safety.

Your Holiday Environment

Our park is situated in a rural location it is, therefore advisable to acquaint yourselves with your holiday environment as soon as you arrive. Walking over grassy and often undulating ground or through wooded parkland may also be unfamiliar, and contain aspects of wildlife such as rabbit holes that you and your children need to avoid.

Please take care when walking around the Park and remember that you are in an unfamiliar environment, particularly at night.

Please treat the property, facilities and accommodation at our Park with respect and care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. In the event that you notice damage to any facility or in your accommodation please report it to reception immediately so that we can take appropriate action.?Accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage found. We reserve the right to enter accommodation under any special circumstances or emergencies.

Use of your holiday accommodation

Only those people listed on the booking can occupy your accommodation and use the facilities of the Park. If this requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave Rockhill with no refund made.

Unreasonable behaviour

For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate the party's holiday without compensation, where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons in the holiday party might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests.

Availability of facilities and entertainment

All holidaymakers' names must be registered to use any facilities on the Park. Children’s organised activities operate during the peak season only. It is not permitted to register more than the number of guests any accommodation is designed to cater for – for example the park will not register ten individuals in accommodation that sleeps six or eight people.

Outdoor facilities including the climbing wall, bouncy castles, go-karts, bungee trampolines, water walkerz, bumper boats and water sports operate during the peak season only. Please note that guests must be over one metre tall to use our climbing wall and be over 8 years of age.

Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult to the water activities. A disclaimer must be signed to use any water based equipment. No person is permitted to use the water based equipment owned by the park outside of supervised times.

Other facilities may also have height and age restrictions. Please check at the time of booking. The operation of our Parks is subject to legislation and the guidelines laid down by the Health and Safety Authority. We accordingly reserve the right to adjust our services in order to meet these standards. It is possible that in some circumstances accommodation, entertainment or a facility may have to be temporarily withdrawn, due to maintenance, renovation, adverse weather conditions, changes in governmental legislation, or any other factor outside our control. We reserve the right to make such alterations in the above circumstances without prior notice, and are unable to accept liability for the loss of an advertised facility, or to pay compensation for any inconvenience caused. Should changes occur, we will advise of these changes, where made prior to booking and will use reasonable endeavours to advise guests already booked of any changes made thereafter.

Website accuracy

We take every care to ensure that the details in this website are accurate at time of going live. Photographs are taken at our Parks and are intended for guidance only. Layout plans are for illustrative purposes only. Please note that not all items will be identical in all accommodation.

The information that is given on the Rockhill Holiday Park and Ashling Caravan Park website is given in good faith and is subject to change without notice. Care is taken to ensure that all information is correct and up to date, however Rockhill Holiday Park does not accept responsibility for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions or if an advertised facility is withdrawn or changed due to weather, lack of demand or for maintenance, etc. Rockhill Holiday Park is not responsible for any third party websites (or content contained on such websites) which may be accessed via the Rockhill Holiday Parks website.

If you have a comment

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your holiday, please speak to the Park Reception. In most cases they will be able to help you immediately so that you can enjoy the rest of your stay. However, if you are still dissatisfied, you must speak to the Park Management and record your complaint with them. If, at the end of your holiday, you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, please write to the park owner at the Park no later than 28 days after the end of your holiday. We are only able to take action on any complaints that are first brought to the attention of the Reception team whilst you are on your holiday and secondly received in writing within 28 days, unless there are exceptional circumstances. It is necessary for Rockhill Park to impose these limitations so that we have the opportunity to solve the problems experienced.

Conditions of Booking

The Holiday Contract

The person who books the holiday by telephone or internet will be accepting the booking conditions on behalf of the holiday party. A contract between you and Rockhill Holiday Park will come into existence

1. If you have made your booking by telephone. We will send you a letter confirming your booking.

2. If you have booked online over the internet. Bookings made online are provisional bookings only and will not be confirmed until payment has been taken from your account and a confirmation pack will be forwarded to you.

The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking.?We reserve the right to decline or terminate the booking of any guest(s) whose party make-up or behaviour interferes or may interfere with the general comfort of other guests. In this event no refunds will be made.

Payment of your holiday

All off peak breaks (1st January to 31st December (excluding summer season and Easter week) must be paid in full (including deposit) two weeks before arrival.

All peak season breaks (Easter week and summer season 1stJune to 31st August) must be paid in full (including deposit) on or before 31st May.

Peak season bookings made after 31st May must be paid in full (including deposit) four weeks before time of arrival.

Please note we unfortunately cannot guarantee- /hold any accommodation until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to cancel your booking without notice if no payment has been received within 7 days from the date of booking.

Rockhill Holiday Park is solely responsible for your booking transaction through our website. Your details are taken securely using 3D Secure encryption technology. Credit or Debit card details are entered on a secure page and are transferred using 3D Secure.

Changes to your Holiday by you

After you have paid your Deposit you may wish to change some elements of the Holiday, e.g. type of accommodation or lead name. We will try to meet your request. ?Any changes must be made at least 6 weeks before the Holiday date, and be confirmed to us in writing by the same person who made the booking.

If you cancel your booking

It may be necessary to cancel your break due to illness, accident or change of circumstances. ?As soon as you know you need to cancel, call the park on 074 9150012 and confirm the cancellation in writing to Rockhill Holiday Park.?The letter must be signed (where possible) by the person who made the booking or their travel agent.

Cancellation charges are calculated as follows from the date that your written instructions are received:

If you cancel your holiday four weeks or more before your date of arrival you will lose 50% of the total holiday cost.

If you cancel your holiday two – three weeks before your date of arrival you will lose 75% of the total holiday cost.

If you cancel your holiday one week or less before your date of arrival you will lose 100% of the total holiday cost.

We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of cancellation as Rockhill Park adheres strictly to its cancellation policy.

If you have not arrived by 8am on the morning after your break was due to commence or contacted the Park concerned to confirm when you will arrive, we will assume that the break is cancelled and the total holiday cost will be forfeited.

Changes to your holiday during your stay

We limit changes to your holiday during your stay, however we cannot accept responsibility or compensation for circumstances such as *force majeure.

*Force Majeure means circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and acts of government.

If we make any major alterations to your booking

We try very hard to provide all facilities and entertainment as advertised in our website. It may however be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such a change is necessary, we will endeavour to advise you in writing as soon as possible.

If we cancel your booking

We always endeavor not to change the date or cancel your booking, but in exceptional circumstances this may be necessary. We will inform you of the change of date or cancellation as soon as possible and give you the following options.

a. accept the alternative arrangements as notified to you

b. choose another available break from us at the advertised price

c. cancel your holiday with a full refund of any money you have paid.

In other circumstances, including those arising from force majeure*, we do not pay compensation.?* Force majeure means circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and acts of government.

Limitation of Liability

We accept responsibility for those arrangements for your holiday that are within our control, but we cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you or any member of your party, unless one of the following applies:

1. There was willful default by us, our employees or agents; or

2. Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence of Rockhill Holiday Park, our employees or agents.

No action can be taken in respect of any complaint not brought to the attention of the Park Owner. Please see the section entitled 'If you have a comment' for full details of our customer services policy.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Rockhill Holiday Park respects your right to privacy and is committed to the protection of your personal information. Any information we collect from you is used only to fulfil your booking and enhance your experience with us. All customer data is handled securely and in accordance with Irish Law. None of the data provided by customers will be sold to any third parties. The following information is designed to help visitors to our websites understand what information we collect, how we handle it and how it is used.

Security

When you book online, your personal and credit card details are transmitted over a secure link to our server using industry standard encryption technology. This server handles your booking by processing the credit card transaction and then forwarding your order in encrypted form to our administrator. At no time do we transmit unencrypted personal information over the Internet. Although we do retain your details in a secure area of our server so that you can order more easily the next time you visit. This information is never passed on to a third party.

Cookies

We use cookies (a small piece of text placed on your hard drive) so that you may browse and purchase services. Our cookie contains a unique number that is only valid for a 30 day period whilst you complete your booking. Please note that other sites with links to us (e.g. sites we advertise with) may use cookies and may collect additional information about you. Rockhill Holiday Park is not responsible for the information policies of these sites and advises users to acquaint themselves with their respective policies.

General

Please note that all points covered in the 'Information about Your Holiday' and 'Terms of deposit refund’ sections of the website also form part of these Conditions of Booking. All bookings are subject to these Conditions of Booking and to availability.

Insurance

We strongly advise all customers to take out holiday insurance to protect you and your family from any unforeseen incidents or accidents while on holiday or to cover any payments associated with cancelling your holiday.
